Srinagar: In Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, security forces uncovered a suspected terror hideout during a search operation in the Balnoi sector, recovering two hand grenades and three mines.

No arrests were made during the operation. Separately, Army personnel on patrol in the Mankote sector discovered a rusted mortar shell, which was safely destroyed by experts through a controlled explosion.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the need for vengeance against the recent killings of a local doctor and six non-local laborers by terrorists.

Speaking at a Border Security Force event, Sinha condemned Pakistan for its continuous support of terrorism, stating, “Every drop of innocent blood spilt in the valley will be avenged.” He called for heightened vigilance from security forces in light of recent terror attacks that have targeted soldiers and civilians alike.
